RN (Casual, Call-In; Non-Exempt) 03/11/08

Functions in a Charge Nurse capacity for a 41- to 42-bed unit, reports to Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor(s). Provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, regulations for long term care and policies and procedures of the facility to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  -Current RN State of Hawaii license
  -Minimum one year prior employment experience in long term care or acute medical surgical nursing preferred. New graduates accepted.
  -Current CPR certification.
  -Current RN State of Hawaii license required.
  -Must be able to have passing score in facility administered Medication test.
  -Current physical and tuberculosis clearance.
  -U.S. citizen, lawful permanent alien resident or alien authorized to work for specified time by U.S. Department of Justice.
• DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  -Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing preferred.
  -Knowledge of OBRA regulations and guidelines that pertain to long term care and computer skills desirable.
