Services and Activities

A caring professional staff of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nurse Assistants and Restorative Aides provide 24-hour nursing services. In the true Ohana (family) style, our staff takes collective responsibility for each resident, yet each level of staff is directly responsible for different types of care. The RNs and LPNs administer medications and treatment, which are prescribed by the resident's physician. Certified Nurse Assistant helps with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding and grooming. Restorative Aides assist in increasing each resident's level of functioning, or, when appropriate, maintaining their present level of independence.

When indicated and ordered by the physician, rehabilitation staff consisting of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Specialists are available through a contract provider.

The Social Worker focuses on a resident's emotional and psychological well being. Discharge planning, helping the residents and their families with a variety of needs including adjustment to life in a nursing home, financial and medical assistance, are some of the services provided by the social worker.

Our Activity staff ensures that the resident's recreational and spiritual needs are met. Daily activities are tailored to each resident with a focus on developing their social and physical abilities to the highest possible level. Group and individual activities are planned monthly.

Certified Facility Dog Brings Cheer to Ito Healthcare Group Facilities

Residents and guests of the Ito Healthcare Group facilities can now count on a regular, friendly visitor to bring cheer to their day: Jake, a reddish-brown Australian Labradoodle, is a hypoallergenic and certified therapy dog, devoted to bringing affection and comfort.

Jake has a special way of putting a smile on people’s faces the moment he walks into the facilities. His wagging tail, floppy ears, knowing eyes and canine intuition immediately create an instant connection with all those who encounter him.

“It’s amazing to watch how he transforms the mood of the residents just by sitting quietly next to them or putting his head on their lap,” said Gordon Ito, president and CEO of the care facilities. “Having Jake on our team takes our facilities’ home-like atmosphere to a new level.”
